What are we missing by concrete jungle?

*We need houses to live in because we cannot live in caves. We need wide roads to walk and drive our vehicles because it is our need. But don't we want pure air and pure water? Don't we want a forest that maintains the balance in nature and gives beauty to the world? We need development. Development is a natural process and it is also necessary, but will we be able to go on for a long time with development that harms nature? Can't we walk on the middle path where there is development and nature is also protected? So while growing a concrete jungle, we need to think twice, what are we missing?*

I never thought that there would be so much change in just one year. Yesterday I went to the University for some Work. Dr. The geographical landscape of Dr. Harisingh Gour Central University Sagar is full of unique natural beauty. Different types of trees have worn many shades of green these days. The Palash, Amaltas and Bougainvillea trees are laden with flowers. The shade of natural beauty is created on seeing there. Seeing the natural beauty there, I felt like seeing some more scenery and I started walking down the valley on the other side of the university towards the National Highway. But it was shocking for me. Where I had seen Palash and Amaltas trees a year ago these days, now I saw houses built. Plating was done on some land. That is, the original green forest had disappeared and a concrete forest had grown there. Which had not yet become dense, but it will soon become dense. The one or two old trees which were visible will also not be visible after a few months. I felt very sad seeing all this. Not only this the size of the big fields which used to be there in between, had also reduced in size. These remaining pieces of land have probably been abandoned waiting for the land to rise in value.
"What happened to all of this? Where are the trees that I saw here last year?" I said sadly to the person accompanying me.
"This has to happening ma'am! This is all private land. The one who owns the Land Property he is free to use it in himself own way.'' The person replied to me."Can nature be one's private property?" I asked him.
This is a poetic thing. The common man has no concern with them. Plating is a profitable business nowadays. Nowadays even the farm owners near the city are busy in plotting their fields. This is a business of millions rupees.'' That person said.
“Yes, maybe I am being poetic. Yes, full of emotions. But how did we forget so soon that just a year and a half ago, we were not able to get oxygen cylinders even after spending thirty to forty thousand rupees.'' I said. With that, something broke inside me. How do people forget life's lessons so quickly?
"That's how life goes ma'am! Didn't our forefathers fight the Second World War forgetting the results of the First World War? Did atomic weapons stop in the world after the incidents of Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Rather, now there is a race for biological weapons. We humans have not learned to learn from our past.'' The person spoke like a philosopher. There was absolute truth in his words.
“Yes, it is bitter truth!” What else could I say?
This is the story of that small town which is still developing. In the cities which have developed into the shape of metropolises, there the forest is a fairytale. If there is anything in them now, they are big trees made of concrete of skyscrapers, which are not green leaves but have big mirrors reflecting heat each other. The roads between those buildings are definitely wide but the polluted air below them hardly rises up. Roads full of running vehicles yearn for open air. In such a situation, it is not surprising if the people living there continue to suffer from respiratory diseases. Children's parks built in colonies or sectors with high-rise buildings, which give little support to health, is it enough?
No, residents there don't even have time to think about all this. They are running on the marathon track of life.
Those who live in developing cities do not want to think about all this. The things of nature do not seem to be the basic need of life, but they seem poetic, to an extent imaginary. Increasing the number of deforestation in the whole world is to increase the land area, meaning to increase the concrete area. The biggest reason for increasing this land area is the rapid population. Meaning as the human number increases; the demand for products also increases. Therefore, all the big land businessmen have started taking advantage of this. He started growing of concrete forest.
Soil erosion means the upper layer of soil is tied to the tree, which used to be buried because of trees. But now trees were completely removed due to tree harvesting. Therefore, the upper layer of soil is no longer suppressed at the same place, but through air and water it flows there. This soil erosion causes problems like landslides. On some day during the rainy season, when the flood comes due to excess rainfall, there are no forests in completely empty areas to stop that flood. Then we are harmed.
Global warming is the serious matter of our earth that is the biggest cause of climate change in the environment. Due to which the entire environment of the Earth is becoming effected. All seasons are changing due to this abolition. Due to this global warming, the temperature of its earth is increasing every day. Glaciers are slowly melting. The reason for all these is the harvesting of forests which is also happening to the extent. Trees always absorb soil water inside them. Therefore, where the number of forests is more, the atmosphere is always pure and cold. Due to this cold environment of trees, a lot of clouds are made during the rainy season. But in this way, the rate of water in the atmosphere is decreasing due to their cut. Therefore, clouds are not being made. For this reason, there is no rain in farming. Therefore it is indirectly affecting humans only.
So while growing a concrete jungle, we need to think twice, what are we missing?
