Cleanliness of city can be gives us clean environment

It is sad that many of us citizens have not been able to adopt the habit of keeping our city clean till date. Even today, except for the main roads of the city, the empire of dirt spreads on the narrow and small roads. This dirt is not spread by any Alien, we are the citizens responsible for this mess. While throwing the garbage of our house outside on the side of the road, we forget that the diseases caused by this filth will attack our homes. In the rainy season on it, the situation becomes more serious.

It is written in the scriptures that the deities reside in a clean place. That is why cleanliness is maintained in temples. In the house where there is a place of worship, full care is taken of cleanliness. On the other hand, we also believe that the deity resides in every particle. When we accept these two things, then why don't we make the dream of a clean city come true by connecting these two together? If God resides in the whole world, then the whole world should remain clean. If we are not able to keep our world, our city clean then it means that we are neglecting our God whom we consider as omnipresent.
When the rainy season comes, we get caught in our own vicious cycle of diseases at our own hands. The rainy season is the season to invite diseases, because in this season due to our carelessness and the dirt spread by us due to rain in many places, water logging, mud in which mosquitoes and bacteria spreading diseases are born. These bacteria cause various types of diseases by contaminating the food items.
In the rainy season, there is a possibility of spreading various diseases, but there are some diseases which are born due to the combination of rain and dirt. One of these is malaria. As soon as the name of this disease comes, we start blaming mosquitoes for it, but first it is also necessary to think that where do mosquitoes breed? These mosquitoes breed in stagnant water in open running drains, roofs and courtyards of the house. Malaria is a common but serious infectious disease in the rainy season, which is transmitted by the bite of water-borne mosquitoes. The disease is spread by the bite of female Anopheles mosquito. Dengue fever is also spread through mosquito bites, but the mosquitoes that spread dengue are not born in dirty water but in clean water. The mosquitoes that spread dengue get open clean water only because of our carelessness. The effect of dengue disease, spread by the bite of Aedes mosquito, is severe pain in the whole body and joints of the patient. This unbearable pain disturbs the patient. Delhi alone recorded 4431 (2016), 4726 (2017), 2798 (2018), 2036 (2019) and 1072 (2020) dengue cases. In 2015, a widespread dengue outbreak was observed in the city. In October itself, the number of dengue cases crossed 10,600, making it the worst outbreak of the vector-borne disease in the national capital since 1996.
Chikungunya is also a fever spread by mosquitoes, whose infection also occurs on the joints of the patient's body and causes severe pain in the joints. In the five years before the Corona period, 107% more cases of dengue were reported. Due to this the death toll also increased by 82 percent. At the same time, the number of Chikungunya patients increased by 230 percent. Finding out the reason for the rapid growth of these two diseases, it came to the fore that construction work has increased in the last few years, these construction sites are more prone to mosquitoes because there is accumulation of both clean and dirty water. Also, the stagnation of water around the houses also creates a favorable environment for these mosquitoes to breed. In order to deal with serious diseases like dengue and chikungunya, the central government had spent 2 thousand crores in about five years before the corona period. But these diseases did not decrease but kept on increasing rapidly.

There is another disease that spreads rapidly in the rainy season, that is cholera. Vibrio cholerae is caused by a bacterium called Vibrio cholerae, which is caused by contaminated food and drink. Frequent vomiting and diarrhea with abdominal cramps are the main symptoms of this disease, due to which there is a lack of water and minerals in the body and the patient becomes very weak. Although viral fever spreads every year during the monsoon, cases of jaundice, including influenza, rhino virus, and other types of virus, spread very rapidly during this season. This dangerous disease of the liver has been called 'Kamala Roga' in Sanskrit and 'Jaundice or Hepatitis' in English. In this disease of jaundice, there is yellowing of the eyes and the color of urine, skin, fingernails and palate also becomes yellow. Due to the yellowing of the body, it is named Jaundice. The root cause of common jaundice is a virus called 'Hepatitis-A'.

If we want to stay away from diseases in the rainy season, then it is necessary that we pay attention to the reasons due to which these diseases arise. That is, we keep the environment around us clean, pay attention to covering the drains. If public drains are not covered, then we should ask the authority responsible to cover them. We should not leave even clean water open in which dangerous mosquitoes can breed. With mosquito repellent incense sticks or other remedies, we can get rid of mosquitoes for a while, not forever. To get rid of mosquitoes forever, we have to destroy their habit by improving our habit.
Today the world has become a global village and we go there to see the cleanliness of those European cities. Those who can't go there look in detail on the television screen. We never get tired of praising Japan for its great cleanliness. So why can't we adopt hygiene habits like theirs? Why can't we keep our entire city as clean as a shrine? We have to remember that only cleanliness of our city can give us healthy environment, healthy climate and healthy life.
